Submissions will be received electronically or hand delivered to the security desk located at the Carnegie Institute's Portal Entry (rear of the Library). Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Package #3: Library for the Bind & Physically Handicapped - Renovations Package #3: The renovation of the entire 10,684 sf first floor suite in a three (3) story building, including a 1st floor exterior storefront and canopy and extension of the interior stairs to the 3rd floor. General Contractors interested in bidding may obtain Construction Documents by contacting Imperial Construction Services, LLC (ICS), Mr. Kenneth Faux, Owners Representative for the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference for Contractors will be held at the project site, 4724 Baum Boulevard, Pittsburgh Pa 15213 on November 20, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Failure to attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will automatically disqualify a contractor's bid. A Bid Bond will be required with the proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for construction. Partial funding is provided through the Pennsylvania Department of Education Keystone Recreation, Parks, & Conservation Fund. Compliance is required with the; Steel Products Procurement Act; Trade Practices Act; Public Works Contractor Bond Law; and Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No.442. Twenty-Four (24) hour Post Bid Submission will include a completed AIA 305 Qualification packet, CIS Format breakdown, proposed subcontractors and vendors, and resumes for contractor personnel. Bids will be opened privately. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within sixty (60) days after the actual bid opening. CLP reserves the right to reject any or all bids, alternates or parts of bids.
