INVITATION FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Township of Stowe, at the Municipal Building, 555 Broadway Avenue, McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, 15136 until 3:00 P.M. on Friday, November 8, 2019. All bids shall bear the words, "Garbage and Recycling Collection and Disposal Bid" clearly indicated on the exterior of the sealed envelope. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of a certified check or surety made payable to the Township of Stowe. Bids will be publicly opened and read, for the collection and disposal of garbage, rubbish, refuse, recyclable materials and an option of electronic waste from all residences within the Township of Stowe at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, November 11, 2019, at the Municipal Building, 555 Broadway Avenue, McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, 15136. There will be a resolution on the agenda for the council meeting that follows the public hearing that will allow the Township Commissioners to select and award the contract based on these bids. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof for any cause whatsoever, as they deem in the best interest of the Township. Instructions to bidders, proposal forms and specifications will be available at the Office of the Secretary, above listed, on any business day between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of twenty-five percent (25%).
