PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF McCANDLESS ZONING HEARING BOARD Notice is hereby given that the Town of McCandless Zoning Hearing Board will hold a virtual/telephonic meeting to conduct its regular business using the Zoom video conferencing platform on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 7:30 p.m. This measure is being taken to minimize person-to-person contact in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). The Town Hall will remain closed to the public during this meeting. Instructions for citizens wishing to view the live meeting and/or provide public comment can be found at www.townofmccandless.org. During this meeting, the Board will conduct hearings in the following matters: I. APPEAL: 1938 APPLICANT: Beth Ann Moore LOCATION: 1164 Balmoral Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15237 PARCEL ID NO. 613-A-26 ZONING DISTRICT: R-2 REQUEST: Applicant seeks relief from Article and Section 1317.02(c) which indicates R-2 front-yard setback requirement is 35' minimum. Applicant seeks a 5' variance. II. APPEAL 1939 APPLICANT: MSRP, LLC LOCATION: Vacant lot along Blazier Drive PARCEL ID NO. 945-B-35 ZONING DISTRICT: C-5 REQUEST: Applicant seeks relief from Article and Section 1341.01 which indicates use as a gas/convenience store/EV charging station is not permitted in the C-5 zoning district. Applicant seeks a variance to allow this use. The Board will consider any other matters that come before it. The above applications may be reviewed online at the Town website's Zoning Hearing Board page: www.townofmccandless.org/zoning-hearing-board/. All interested parties are invited to attend and be heard in accordance with the rules and procedures established by the Board. Written comments may be submitted to the Town's Municipal Building, located at 9955 Grubbs Rd, Wexford, PA, through United States mail or to rsusko@townofmccandless.org.
